Introduction

On August 21st, 2003, AOL introduced Journals, now known as Blogs. The J-land community was born. This journal is intended to host entries from J-landers, celebrating the 5th anniversary in 2008. Feel free to write your piece here, or leave a link to your entry on your on blog in the comments section.

If you are monitoring this journal, make sure you engage both Entry and Comments alerts.

I created my first AOL blog on Aug 3 2003.  This was before the official release.  I've been blogging ever since.  I still update my first blog almost every day.

Stop by and say HI

My country tales have been here since Oct. 2003. People have come and gone but they are most always nice. The friends here are as real as my off line friends and I treasure every one of them. Paula

I started our journal in May of 2007. Starting out as Love From Iraq, Now Maybe I'm Amazed, this journal, along with the new friends I made here, got us through our deployment to Iraq. What started out as a way to keep friends and family up to date with our happenings, we found instead a treasure house of friends and support.

Hard to believe I have kept my Blog going five years. I have about ten constant readers and have come to love every one of them. The idea of a Public Journal seemed so strange back then-my, how life changes in the blink of an eye! I am one of those on and off writers-sometimes often, occasionally not at all for a while. I find I am grateful to AOL for offering the Forum. Margo http://www.amazon.com/gp/css/history/view.html

I strolled down memory lane - VIVI awards, award night, meeting other Jlanders, the addition of ads on the journals, etc. Hope you enjoy!
